Our client is expanding its operation and is looking for a motivated, customer focused analytical team player to join their Background Check Programme. The Background Specialist will work directly with the Background Manager and team to maintain the integrity, security, and accuracy of the client's Background Check program while ensuring that their candidates receive the best experience possible.
About the role: Professionalism and confidentiality are critical to success. Besides ensuring the completion of all background checks globally, the Background Specialist will assist with program design, documentation, various administrative duties, educating partners, and improving the candidate experience.
This is remote. You must be eligible to work and live in the UK or EU.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Initiate background checks for candidates and existing employees
Manage ticket queue in background vendor portal
Monitor checks in progress to ensure progression to completion
Escalating backgrounds to management when required
Work closely with background vendor(s) to remediate any issues
Reach out to Recruiters to obtain additional information when needed
Partner with Legal/Compliance to ensure best practices
Maintain procedures and process documentation
Respond to candidate questions
Job requirements:
Minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience in background checks or associated field is essential.
Experience with background check systems (Checkr)
Analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated maturity and sound judgment
Successful project management experience
Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy
Self-disciplined and capable of completing projects with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Human Resource management, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
Certificate in background screening or compliance is desirable.
Familiarity with background verification tools and databases as well as proficiency in Google Suite.
