Work Hours 9:00AM - 4:00PM EST

Work Days: Monday - Friday

Salary: $5 - $6 per hour (depending on experience)

Bilingual candidates - additional $2



About the Role

Dr. Tien is looking for 2 dedicated, detail-oriented, and service-driven Virtual Assistants (VAs) to support the daily operations of his medical practice. Depending on the role, the VA will either focus on front desk responsibilities (handling calls and bookings) or insurance verification tasks. Both roles require excellent communication, organization, and reliability. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required.



Available Positions & Key Responsibilities

🔹 Full-Time Role VA – Front Desk Support

  • Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism and empathy
  • Book and manage patient appointments
  • Collect and document insurance information accurately
  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service to patients during inquiries or scheduling
  • Maintain clear communication with the internal team regarding appointments and patient needs



🔹 Part-Time Role VA– Insurance Verification

  • Verify insurance coverage prior to appointments
  • Contact insurance providers when necessary for pre-authorizations or plan details
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date insurance records in the system
  • Communicate with patients to clarify insurance-related questions



Skills & Qualities Required

  • Attention to Detail – Enters accurate data and follows through on requests
  • Organizational Skills – Manages multiple tasks and maintains clear documentation

  • Reliability – Dependable and consistent in attendance and task completion
  • Bilingual (Preferred but not required): English + Spanish



Tech Proficiency – Comfortable using:

  • Elation (EHR platform)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)



Basic requirements

  • Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly
  • Must have relevant work experience
  • Be able to submit an NBI clearance or Local Police Clearance background check if requested
  • Must be available for video meetings with your camera on
  • Must have no other clients during required work hours



Technical requirements

  • Device: Reliable laptop or desktop computer.
  • Internet: High-speed connection (minimum 10 Mbps).
  • Audio: Noise-canceling headset.
  • Video: Webcam for virtual meetings.
  • Workspace: Quiet, professional environment.

Additional Requirements

  • Must submit a short video introduction as part of your application
