Rize (rize.farm) is a leading Agri-Tech startup uniquely positioned to build solutions that make rice cultivation more sustainable and improve farmer livelihoods in Asia. These sustainable solutions are urgently needed as rice cultivation is one of the largest polluting forms of agriculture globally. What are we building

We are developing a platform which will help our field operations team to effectively manage their task, capture cultivation logs from million plus hectares of paddy fields, effectively manage the supply chain of agri-inputs and aggregate third party services required during the lifecycle of paddy fields.

The Current tech stack includes React Native for mobile applications, ReactJs for web app powered by Rest APIs developed with JAVA using Spring and Hibernate.

Responsibilities

Qualities that you should already have as a Product Manager or Designer. These are things that are a bit harder to teach but you will get to practice a lot at Rize since we want you to have Agency in your work.

Problem-Solving:

• Ability to put oneself in the user's shoes, ensuring that the product meets their needs and exceeds their expectations.

• Creativity in ideating new features, improvements, and solutions that enhance user satisfaction and engagement.

Most of these things you should be familiar with. Some of these things you should already know very well as a Product person. However, some of these things we are also willing to teach.

User-Centric Design Thinking:

• Ability to empathize with users, understand their needs and pain points, and translate those into product features.

Technical Proficiency:

• Understanding of the technical aspects of app and web development to effectively communicate with developers and make informed decisions.

Data Analysis:

• Skill in interpreting user data and analytics to guide product decisions and improvements.

Agile and Scrum Methodologies:

• Familiarity with agile development processes and the ability to work within sprint cycles, managing backlogs and prioritizations effectively.

Market Research:

• Ability to conduct and analyze market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise between stakeholders, users, and the development team.

Project Management:

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and resources effectively.
• UX/UI Knowledge:
• Understanding of user experience and interface design principles to ensure the product is accessible, intuitive, and engaging.

Product Lifecycle Management:

• Experience in overseeing the product from conception through launch and beyond, including managing updates, iterations, and feedback loops.
• Strategic Thinking:
• Skill in setting product vision and strategy aligned with business goals and user needs.

What you bring:

• Master’s degree in a technology-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Product Management, or equivalent) is highly preferred
• 2–5 years of experience building digital products, product operations (web or mobile) with cross-functional teams, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to translate business and field needs into scalable digital solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable using data and user feedback to drive improvements.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (tech, ops, field) in agile environments.
• Familiar with modern tech stacks (React, REST APIs, Java backend) to effectively work with engineers.
• Empathy for users in operational settings (e.g., agriculture, logistics) and a focus on usability and impact.
• Clear communicator with strong organizational skills; able to manage backlogs and feature prioritization.
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
