Job description

Position Summary

The Senior Manager of Field Technology will lead the design, optimization, and delivery of field sales reporting platforms and tools. This role is critical in ensuring that our field teams have seamless access to accurate, actionable data to drive performance. The role focuses on managing field-facing technology systems, dashboards, and strategic enablement tools that support day-to-day execution and long-term commercial success.

This individual partners closely with the Field Strategy & Operations team, Sales, IT, and Commercial Operations to ensure systems are aligned with business needs and continuously enhanced for usability and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Systems Management & Support

  • Manage the day-to-day operations and performance of field-facing technology tools and platforms.
  • Serve as the business lead for execution of field reporting and enablement systems within the assigned therapeutic area.
  • Partner with IT and cross-functional teams to coordinate releases, resolve issues, and implement enhancements.
  • Maintain tool documentation and act as a key support contact for operational needs.

Reporting & Dashboard Development

  • Lead the design, development, and iteration of intuitive dashboards and reports to support field execution.
  • Build and validate reports, ensuring accuracy and usability through testing and user feedback.
  • Develop action-oriented visualizations that align with key performance indicators and business goals.
  • Advocate for strong UX/UI principles in all tools and reporting deliverables.

Other Field Tools (iCoach, Account Planning, FCR Platforms)

  • Oversee the implementation, optimization, and user experience of tools such as iCoach, FCR, and account planning platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate these tools into field workflows and ensure consistent utilization.
  • Collect and act on user feedback to drive enhancements that support strategic planning and field engagement.
  • Support vendor management, including timelines, issue resolution, and release execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Vendor Management

  • Work closely with partners across Field Strategy & Operations, Sales, Commercial Operations, and IT to ensure system capabilities align with field needs.
  • Provide input on prioritization of enhancements and contribute to planning discussions for future technology evolution.
  • Support vendor relationships by tracking performance, coordinating updates, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in commercial operations, field technology, or sales systems support.
  • Experience in designing, building, and managing reporting platforms and dashboards.
  • Strong technical skills in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
  • Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.
  • Familiarity with field coaching, account planning, and sales force enablement platforms.

Strong understanding of data visualization best practices

Minimum $146,955.00 - Maximum $210,100.00, plus incentive opportunity: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting salary for candidates hired to perform the work. Other elements may be used to determine actual salary such as the candidate’s job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in role.
