Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop existing distributor accounts while acquiring new business opportunities.
  • Conduct regular visits to current and prospective customers, documenting opportunities and writing weekly call reports.
  • Provide technical support and assistance for lubricant applications as needed, making product recommendations when necessary.
  • Develop and execute business plans and submit monthly reports on territory performance.

Klüber Lubrication NA LP

The Regional Sales Manager will own and effectively maintain existing distributor accounts, while continuing to obtain new business and providing customer service by training distributor sales representatives to help them understand the products offered by Kluber. They will also function as a company representative with a strong sense of professionalism and customer service.

Regional Sales Manager (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky)

Responsibilities

  • Call on current customers and new prospective customers regularly. Generate and document opportunities.
  • Write weekly call reports on all customer visits and submit monthly expense reports to Regional Sales Manager.
  • Fill out weekly MS Outlook Calendar with planned visits/ Itinerary – rolling calendar for 2 weeks.
  • Maintain current, efficient and detailed written records on all customers and reports.
  • Make product recommendations and cross references on products when necessary.
  • Provide technical support and additional assistance for all lubricant applications as required.
  • Maintain and submit monthly Business Plan / report on territory 4 days before last business day of month.
  • Develops and execute business plans and strategies

Qualifications

  • College degree required, preferably within a technical field, i.e. engineering or 5-10 years comparable work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in customer facing role – direct technical sales or application engineering
  • 3-5 years in sales of lubricants, chemicals or mechanical equipment preferred.
  • Ability to travel as required for position and assigned territory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with all types of people.
  • Must have solid computer skills including Windows, MS Office, ACT, PowerPoint and Email.
  • Self starter with effective time management and organizational skills
