On behalf of FutureMeds, GT is looking for the Managing Director with expertise in clinical trials.

FutureMeds, an independent Site Management Organization (SMO) was founded in 2019, and specializes in European clinical trials across 20+ therapeutic areas. With a strong focus on patient-centric, decentralized approaches, they advance medical research by ensuring timely trials, robust data quality, and speed up the delivery of new medicines.

About the Role

This role is responsible for driving the sustainable growth and market position of FutureMeds by building a scalable structure, enhancing team performance, and executing growth strategies. The position also focuses on expanding the adoption and sales of DCT (Decentralized Clinical Trials) solutions across Europe, winning new clients, and positioning FutureMeds as a preferred provider through innovative, ROI-driven offerings.

Responsibilities:
  • Management and further development of FutureMeds@Home structure to continuously support the growth.

  • Continuous process optimization, structure effectiveness and efficiency, and development, execution, and measurement of strategies and initiatives to support goals and planned growth.

  • Competency assessment of the team, coaching and development, empowering, engaging, and goals-oriented team leadership.

  • Ensuring effective collaboration in matrix structure, creation and implementation of innovative strategies across all business units.

  • Change Management and Leadership to support post-merger integration, team transformation, and dynamic growth.

  • Performance Management in line with company values (Progress PACT), cascading OGSM, regular objective reviews, feedback processes, and managing underperformance.

  • Delivery of annual targets, proactive risk analysis and mitigation, tracking delivery targets with internal stakeholders, and development of resource plans.

  • DCT and clinical research market knowledge, competitor analysis, development of growth plans and implementation strategies, and business case development.

  • Development and expansion of FutureMeds@Home service portfolio, strategic initiatives for continuous improvements of services and collaboration with clients.

  • Building, maintaining, and optimizing client relationships, customer service, client and market data analysis, and strategic collaboration with clients.

  • Effective positioning of FutureMeds@Home as Preferred Provider, DCT pipeline building, BD support, and development of strategies with BD teams.

  • Evaluation of sales channels, promotion of services through conferences, webinars, WhitePapers, in collaboration with Corporate Marketing.

  • General management duties including legal, financial, and operational compliance, implementation of quality standards, and development of supporting tools and KPIs.

Essential knowledge, skills & experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior management and/or leadership roles

  • Strong leadership, people management, and team development skills

  • Proven experience in change management and change leadership

  • Demonstrated track record in strategic planning, development, and successful execution

  • Preferably familiar with the clinical research environment, including governance and regulatory frameworks such as Good Clinical Practice (GCP)

  • Experience in Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCT) or Mobile Healthcare is preferred

  • Strong ability to manage client relationships, projects, and cross-functional teams

  • Proven ability to deliver projects within scope, on time, and to agreed deadlines

  • Background in professional customer management, with a focus on effective sales and high-level customer service

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and confident in making global-level decisions when necessary

  • Willingness to travel internationally as required

  • Experience working within a matrix management structure

  • Strong personal attributes: assertive, persistent, flexible, highly organized, and detail-oriented
