Associate – Global Master Data Governance

Business Unit:    Global S&OP

Reports To:        Director Global Master Data Governance

Supervision:       None    

Primary Function

The Associate - Master Data Governance will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day activities related to master data management for Ingredion in the NAregion. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Material Master Data:
    • Maintain and update material master data, including product specifications, and classifications.
    • Coordinate with production, inventory, and supply chain, quality and accounting teams to ensure material data accuracy.
    • Perform data validation and cleansing to support efficient material management processes.
  • Vendor Master Data:
    • Gather/Review documentation according to regional policies for vendor setup.
    • Create, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of vendor master data in the SAP system.
    • Collaborate with procurement and accounts payable teams to keep vendor information up to date.
    • Monitor vendor data quality and assist in data cleansing initiatives.
  • Data Quality and Standardization:
    • Support data quality initiatives
    • Identifying and resolving data quality issues.
  • Projects and improvement:
    • Collaborate with project teams to integrate master data requirements into system implementation and enhancement projects.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, procurement, and sales, to address master data-related challenges.
    • Participate in SAP implementation projects, process, and system changes.
    • Communicate effectively with business leaders, providing insights and recommendations based on master data analysis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:    

  • A diploma/bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
  • Experience in data governance
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of SAP quality area – specification settings and classification
  • Knowledge of SAP procurement master data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
