We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive the growth of both direct and channel sales for our RS Essentials Portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding our network of channel partners while also engaging directly with key customers to accelerate revenue growth, increase market share and strengthen brand awareness. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in channel development, technical sales, and business development in the Test and Measurement industry, coupled with a deep understanding of industry applications and customer needs.
Your tasks
Expand and execute go-to-market strategies for RS Essentials for key industries (e.g. aerospace, telecommunications, automotive, and electronics).
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry benchmarking to refine positioning.
Develop and execute programs with structured incentives, rebates, and performance-based rewards.
Drive digital transformation initiatives, including e-commerce and online sales enablement.
Utilize CRM tools and analytics platforms to track distributor and direct sales and optimize engagement.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in business development, indirect sales (both Rental and Distribution preferred), or channel management in the Test & Measurement industry.
Strong understanding of Test & Measurement equipment, applications, and industry trends.
Excellent negotiation, sales strategy, and partner relationship management skills.
Ability to analyze market dynamics, competitive positioning, and customer requirements.
Experience with CRM platforms, sales automation tools, and data analytics.
Strong technical sales acumen with the ability to communicate complex solutions effectively.
Experience in developing and executing strategies to both generate brand awareness and actively capture qualified leads through various marketing channels.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.

The total compensation for this position is $148K-$260K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
