Sr. Data Scientist- Commercial Enablement

Summary:
The Senior Data Scientist is a pivotal member of the ABB Commercial Enablement team, striving to build an end-to-end commercial ecosystem that drives best-in-class customer experiences informed by data and insights. This position is responsible for analyzing commercial outcomes and providing actionable insights, including customer segmentation, pricing and contracting analytics, and commercial engagement effectiveness. The individual will also develop a market view, delivering scalable analytical solutions that ensure a competitive advantage for ABB. The person in this role will need to be hands on with data with a broad knowledge of data mining algorithms, and the adoption of leading technologies in analytics to get results and identify new opportunities.
Essential Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
- Understanding business opportunities within ABB business pillars and developing analytical solutions to capture these opportunities and enable profitable growth.
- Partner with commercial teams to turn insights into strategy and deploy solutions successfully.
- Analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of commercial channels, identifying key drivers and insights to advance the organization’s commercial strategies.
- Crafting and implementing customer-level insights through advanced data models and segmentation strategies.
- Researching standard processes and collaborating with external organizations and partners.
- Remaining at the forefront of analytical capabilities and building internal organizational capabilities.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in business or related field or equivalent experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, such as statistics, operations research, computer science, or mathematics.
- 7 years of experience in data analytics.
- Strong demonstrated understanding of machine learning methods and applied statistical packages as applied to data analysis within open-source scripting languages (e.g. SQL).
- Proven track record of understanding and analyzing large, disparate datasets and transform them into clear business insights.
- Demonstrated familiarity with large datasets and understanding of data analysis workflows.
- Experience delivering data science projects from inception to completion, collaborating across teams.
- Experience with data visualization software (e.g., PowerBI).
- Demonstrated capability in building analytical solutions that scale.

- Experience in the Vision Care / Optical industry
For US Candidates
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $83,300 to $111,000.
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan.
