Job Description


As an Executive Vice President of Business Development, you will drive revenue growth by meeting individual quotas for sales qualified leads, average contract value, and annual bookings, and support the firm's sales strategy, focusing on private equity clients, portfolio companies, and enterprises to support the $300 million revenue goal. This role involves leveraging relationships with private equity firms, corporate leaders, and channel/referral partners, and securing high-value engagements while ensuring profitable growth.


  • Sales Performance & Quota Achievement: Develop and implement a sales plan to contribute to the firm's growth from $100M to $300M, targeting individual quotas. Drive 60-65% of bookings from existing relationships, and 35-40% of new clients. Secure engagements with 50%+ gross margins with strategic pricing and client alignment that meets the firm's ideal customer profile.


  • Referral Partner & Center of Influence Development: Utilize a robust network of CPAs, attorneys, investment bankers, commercial bankers, and agents to generate referrals and secure engagements.


  • Client Retention & Expansion: Collaborate with the delivery team to manage key accounts and retain private equity clients, targeting 90%+ retention rates and expanding services. Identify cross-selling opportunities to grow revenue from existing clients. Maintain healthy key client relationships through continuous nurturing, development and prioritization.


  • Team Collaboration & Pipeline Management: Work with sales leadership and the firm's subject matter experts (SMD and MD) to convert leads and expand scope of services. Collaborate with delivery and marketing to ensure client needs are met and proposals are competitive. Maintain accurate pipeline data in CRM (Salesforce), achieving 80%+ forecast accuracy.


Quota Requirements:


  • Ability to generate Sales Qualified Leads: 6 - 12 per month, converting 60% to opportunities
  • Ability to drive an Average Contract Value of $250k+
  • Ability to generate Annual Booking in the range of $5-$10 million


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years selling financial advisory services to private equity market
  • PE relationships focused in the greater Northeast Market (New York, Boston, New Jersey)
  • Direct access to sponsor level executives which include operating partners and general partners as well as portfolio company level C-Suite Executives
  • Ability to articulate complex financial and operational solution selling services (i.e. Transaction Advisory, Accounting Advisory, Performance Improvement, Technology Advisory)


Compensation:


$200,000 - $250,000 base salary plus commission plan with no cap
