Job description

Job Description

Wood is seeking expression of interest from Subcontracts Coordinators to join our team in Moro, Hela Province (PNG) on a Fly in Fly Out rotational schedule (28 days on /28 days off). Our Supply Chain team support a number of projects and this role is critical in ensuring that all subcontracted services are managed effectively for our global clients. Working closely with Project Managers and the Construction teams, you will be a key advisor for all commercial matters on site.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the award of packages to local subcontractors
  • Managing the commercial performance of subcontractors on site
  • Performing all subcontract administration, including invoice verification and claim processing
  • Commercial progress reviews and invoice management
  • Contractual correspondence and associated registers, tracking and progress claims
  • Change management including contract notices and variations
  • Cross functional support to Project Controls and Finance teams
  • Closing out subcontracts and purchase orders.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Law
  • High level of commercial and contractual awareness, in particular with EPCM or EPC contract delivery models
  • At least 5 years of commercial experience in industrial construction projects (mining or oil & gas) for an engineering or construction company
  • An ability to listen and identify key issues and to communicate complex information clearly
  • Well-developed cross-cultural communication skills
  • Understanding of project accounting reporting requirements and variance analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision to set up processes and monitor own work achievements against agreed objectives
  • Advanced ERP (Oracle/SAP) system skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Able to work in remote locations without direct supervision.
