Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Auditor for Food Safety in a remote role based in Spain!

We're hiring a dynamic team member to bridge field and office operations in food safety. This role perfectly marries conducting on-site audits with supporting auditor training, onboarding, and performance management.

You'll also assist in maintaining scheme integrity and KPIs through data monitoring, administrative support, and expense reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct food safety audits 50% of the time.
  • Engage and collaborate with business leaders, schedulers, and account managers.
  • Assist with monitoring and managing auditor capacity through selection and onboarding of new auditors.
  • Assist with tracking financial, safety, and quality goals.
  • Monitor report turnaround times against set KPIs and follow up on any late or outstanding audit reports.
  • Track and trend auditor performance, with key focus on report quality through rejections, and monitor response times to technical reviews and resubmissions.
  • Review action flags daily and assist with updating and maintaining the platform.
  • Plan and implement robust integrity programs.
  • Plan and schedule auditor calibration activities.
  • Conduct witness and integrity audits.
  • Keep information current and relevant on external client platforms.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Degree or Diploma in a food-related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years' food production work experience, preferably as a food safety team member.
  • Food safety team leader experience, preferred.
  • Internal auditing training.
  • HACCP training.
  • Lead Auditor qualification, preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of food and agricultural standards and regulations.
  • Experience in QMS and conducting risk assessments.
  • Excellent computer, communication, and presentation skills.
  • We're looking for a highly self-disciplined individual with attention to detail.
