We are looking for a committed Senior Software Engineer to join our Tactical Command & Control line of business. This position requires an active US Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one. Preference is given to candidates local to the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD or Picatinny Arsenal, NJ Areas.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGDesign and develop microservices and Java-based software applicationsDesign and manage containerized applications using Docker or similar technologiesDesign, develop, and maintain an enterprise React applicationUtilize JUnit and Jest to write quality unit tests, validating your workAssist with the testing and integration of applications and systems prior to delivery to usersAssist with cyber “hardening” of software to ensure the delivered software is secure and meets required cyber security standardsDesign, develop, and maintain internal tooling used in the creation of various software productsWork closely with your teammates to solve problems and produce high-quality softwareContinuously challenge yourself to become a better software developerWHAT YOU HAVE DONEMinimum 6 years direct experience in Software developmentObtained a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or have equivalent work experience with demonstrable capabilities and resultsDeveloped software leveraging Spring Java FrameworkDeveloped software leveraging Javascript frameworks such as ReactJS or AngularDeveloped solutions leveraging REST and WebSocket technologiesUsed modern software build tools, including Git, Jenkins, Gradle, Node.js and DockerBuilt large and complex forms with robust validationWorked extensively within a Linux-based development environmentEVEN BETTERExperience using Git (or a Git-based implementation, e.g. Stash, Bitbucket, Github, GitLab) in a collaborative production environment—especially on a large-scale software projectExperience using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Gradle, Maven, Node.js, NPM, and YarnExperience using TypeScript in a large code basePublished software projects for external consumption, or have made significant contributions to existing open-source projectsExperience with the Agile or Scrum development methodologyExperience working as part of a fast-paced software development teamExperience with continuous integration or build automation (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI/CD)Excellent verbal and written skillsProficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)Proficiency with UML or other architecture methodologiesExperience with Tactical Assault Kit (TAK)
