Job description

Transporeon is a SaaS company founded in 2000 in Ulm, Germany. We have one of the largest networks of shippers and carriers in Europe and provide logistics solutions across several areas, including:

  • Buying & selling of logistics services
  • Organizing shipment execution
  • Organizing dock, yard, truck, and driver schedules
  • Invoice auditing for logistic services

We have grown significantly over the years, reaching €150m in revenue before being acquired by Trimble for $2 billion USD in 2022. Currently we have around 1400 employees globally.

The Engineering Manager will be leading a team to develop innovative platform services for the transportation domain at Trimble. These services will seamlessly integrate with Trimble Cloud core platform services and offer transportation platform APIs for a range of transportation products and applications. As we establish new teams and develop new platform services, our forward-thinking approach aims to build a robust foundation for Trimble's transportation products. We offer a dynamic environment that encourages exploration and innovation with next-gen technologies to address the evolving needs of the industry.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team of product manager and software engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Drive the successful development and adoption of new products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market needs.
  • Collaborate with product manager to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap and drive execution.
  • Make sharp, informed decisions to address challenges, prioritize initiatives, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure clear communication of goals, progress, and results.
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and performance metrics to continuously refine product strategies and enhance outcomes.
  • Create a positive and inclusive team culture that inspires creativity, collaboration, and excellence.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Product mindset in the key to this position. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate high-performing distributed teams in the development of B2B SaaS products or services. eCommerce experience is beneficial.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
