AI Architect

We are seeking an AI Lead / Architect / Evangelist to lead the transformation of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform, driving the design and implementation of AI-enabled solutions that improve automation, decision-making, and user experience. This role combines deep AI/ML expertise, enterprise software architecture, and a hands-on approach to prototyping and delivery. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our AI strategy, working closely with product, engineering teams to deliver meaningful, domain-specific AI capabilities across our PLM ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

·        Architect and design AI-powered features for the Aras Innovator PLM platform, using NLP, LLMs, predictive models, and multimodal AI.

·        Build intelligent automation solutions to improve change management, quality, manufacturing, and requirements traceability workflows.

·        Develop AI-enhanced search and knowledge management using vector search, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and semantic search to help users navigate complex engineering data.

·        Design and prototype conversational AI assistants and agents using chatbot frameworks and integration with PLM workflows.

·        Optimize AI models

·        Establish robust AI governance, monitoring, and security practices to mitigate risks like model bias, prompt injection, and performance drift.

·        Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to evangelize AI capabilities, gather feedback, and refine the AI roadmap.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5, Claude, Gemini).
• Hands-on experience developing AI solutions such as chatbots, virtual assistants, and automation agents, using frameworks like Semantic Kernel, LangChain, LangGraph.
• Experience implementing RAG pipelines, prompt engineering (zero-shot, one-shot, few-shot), and fine-tuning to improve model accuracy.
• Familiarity with AI search technologies like Azure Cognitive Search, Elasticsearch, or Haystack for enterprise semantic search.
• Proficiency in Azure AI ecosystem (Azure AI, Azure OpenAI Service) and deployment in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
• Understanding of MLOps practices, model lifecycle management, and CI/CD using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Strong software engineering background with proficiency in .NET (C#), TypeScript/JavaScript, and architectural design patterns for enterprise software.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML development with a proven track record of delivering AI-powered solutions.
• At least 5+ years of experience in software development or engineering, with a strong technical background and architectural design experience.
• Solid understanding of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Prior experience designing and deploying AI-powered enterprise solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to evangelize AI opportunities across technical and non-technical audiences.
