Papaya is looking for a passionate and experienced Bookkeeper to join our Finance team in Tel Aviv, Israel. As part of the finance team, responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations and the monthly closing process. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who wants to grow with our company and is comfortable in fast-paced environments. The bookkeeper works closely with the controller to ensure the company’s financial records are accurate and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.


Responsibilities

  • Work on all aspects of the company's bookkeeping as part of a team.
  • Assist with the month-end processes, such as reconciliations, prepayments, additional JE, provisions, monthly reports, intercompany charges, etc.
  • Working closely with bookkeeping in our international subsidiaries
  • Handling purchasing cycle which includes accounts payable, invoice recording ,payments and reconciliation.
  • Responsible for several bank accounts, credit cards, including reconciliation and controls
  • Improve and put into place processes, tools, policies, controls and systems 
  • Review and control reimbursement of employees' expenses
  • Responsible for tax and statutory reports (e.g., VAT, corporate tax, etc.)
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks 

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping
  • Experience in hi-tech companies
  • Fluent in English
  • Certified Bookkeeper 
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills and analytical capabilities
  • Experience working with Priority - an advantage
  • Excellent Excel skills – an advantage
