📝 The Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled Infrastructure / Platform Engineer to join our growing team at a leading data consultancy. You will design, implement, and support the infrastructure that powers large-scale data projects for clients across multiple industries. This includes cloud environments, data platforms, security controls, and automation pipelines.

Looking inward, you will help direct and develop internal infrastructure delivery capability, building internal PoCs and re-usable assets that we can deploy into customer environments.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a client-facing consultancy setting and can bridge technical depth with business needs.

Key outputs expected would include:
- Design and implement IaC and SaC solutions using key industry technologies such as Terraform, ARM, Bicep or other cloud platform variants.

- Build and optimize secure, scalable environments on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Collaborate with data engineers, consultants, and client DevOps teams to provision infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools.

- Manage containerized environments and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Implement best practices for cloud security, cost optimization, monitoring, and alerting.

- Support the deployment and maintenance of modern data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift).

- Design and enforce networking, identity access, and compliance standards aligned with client requirements.

- Write documentation, runbooks, and client-facing reports to support infrastructure deployments and handovers.

- Work on internal infrastructure capabilities that we can re-use and deploy to clients, primarily using Terraform
