Job description

Our Company:

Tactiq is an innovative software solutions provider focused on bridging the gap between retailers, manufacturers, and distributors. Headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, our team is revolutionizing the direct store delivery (DSD) industry. Our suite of solutions includes standardized communications, invoicing, and ordering tools, all designed using world-class technology to support both retailers and suppliers within the DSD industry. Tactiq is uniquely positioned to increase both operational efficiency and service quality, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and cost savings for our partners.

Our People:

Our team members join Tactiq to learn, develop, and be part of an environment that rewards performance and innovation while providing opportunities to personally excel and grow. We work closely as a team, respect each other as professionals, and move decisively on meeting the needs of our partners, all guided by our values – Do the right thing, Win as a team, lose as a team, Own it, Embrace the messy, and Think like your customer.

What you'll do:

As a Scrum Master, you will be someone that brings strong Agile experience but doesn’t treat it as a one-size-fits-all rulebook. You’ll guide remote-first, cross-functional teams through delivery while focusing on team health, alignment, and outcomes, not just rituals. You’ll work closely with both U.S.-based and international team members, ensuring smooth collaboration across time zones and cultures as we deliver value to our customers.

This role is 75% Scrum Master and 25% Delivery Manager. You’ll lead Agile ceremonies, coach team members, and facilitate flow, while also keeping an eye on delivery risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations. We’re looking for someone who can flex between structure and adaptability, especially as we continue to scale.

Here is a brief overview of what you'll be tasked with:

  • Lead Scrum ceremonies and create space for meaningful conversations, not just checking boxes.
  • Foster team autonomy, accountability and trust.
  • Adapt Agile practices to fit the team’s maturity and context, not just the textbook.
  • Surface blockers and help the team self-resolve where possible.
  • Use data and metrics to guide reflection and improvement, not micromanage.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering leads to ensure visibility into delivery timelines and dependencies.
  • Support sprint planning, forecasting, and alignment across teams.
  • Communicate risks and progress clearly, especially when things shift.
  • Help improve our delivery flow and team predictability without overburdening the process.
  • Assist the Product team in aligning customer requirements with development plans, which provides a great opportunity to deepen your understanding of product strategy and customer needs.

What success looks like in this role:

  • Teams feel empowered
  • Agile ceremonies are purposeful and drive improvement.
  • Product and Engineering are in sync on priorities, timelines, and delivery expectations.
  • Risks and blockers are surfaced early and resolved collaboratively.
  • We continuously get better, not just faster.

Requirements

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in software Scrum Master or Agile facilitator.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc), and when to bend them.
  • Experience with Agile tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
  • Comfortable managing team dynamics and navigating ambiguity with clarity.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven success guiding high-performing, cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  •  Agile certifications (PSM, PMI) are a plus, but not required.
  •  Familiarity with DevOps culture or working in fast moving SaaS environments.
