Job Summary


In this highly visible role in the Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Capital Analytics team in Corporate Actuarial and Risk Management (CARM), you’ll have direct responsibility for optimizing ALM, capital efficiency, liquidity risk, and cash flow management, as well as providing investment advice and hedging recommendations.  This role will lead a team of senior professionals and play a key leadership role in shaping enterprise investment and capital strategy.

This role contributes to group-level strategy development, provides thought leadership on enterprise initiatives, and influences executive stakeholders to support strategic direction. You’ll bring a corporate lens to business challenges, foster innovation, mentor future leaders, and continuously improve risk and capital management practices.

Occasional travel only (such as for planning purposes, team building, or conferences) may be required.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • You will collaborate across Investment Management, Actuarial Modeling, Business Units, Corporate Finance, and Accounting to ensure integrated, forward-looking decision frameworks are developed and maintained which will align investment strategy with insurance risk, capital, and product dynamics to enhance financial stability and optimize risk-adjusted returns.
  • Influencing enterprise risk and financial outcomes by aligning ALM and investment strategy with corporate objectives, evaluating complex enterprise financial risks and creating innovative investment and capital management solutions.
  • Cultivate professionalism by encouraging collaboration with colleagues, ownership of results, and implementation of creative technical solutions.
  • Shape the strategic direction for ALM, interest rate risk, liquidity risk, capital optimization, and hedging strategy in alignment with enterprise financial goals.
  • Partner with Investment teams to develop and maintain strategic asset allocation frameworks that support capital needs and enterprise risk tolerance.
  • Collaborate with Business Units to support product design, pricing strategies, risk evaluation, and long-term financial performance.
  • Lead the development and integration of frameworks to optimize risk-adjusted return through asset allocation, ALM, and capital efficiency.
  • Provide capital forecasting insights for the corporate financial plan and lead strategic analysis related to investment income and capital outcomes.
  • Champion strategic initiatives that improve ALM and capital-related analytics, tools, and governance.
  • Guide cross-functional collaboration to integrate economic capital concepts (e.g., JFSA Economic Solvency Regime) into enterprise capital and risk practices.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in ALM, capital strategy, finance, or investments.
  • Required education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. FSA or equivalent international actuarial designation required.
  • Preferred additional designations such as CFA, PRM, or CERA.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$177,500.00 - $283,500.00
