Job Description:

   

The North America Channel Compute Sales Director owns end-to-end strategy and GTM plan as it relates to Microsoft. Builds out the strategy, business scorecard, GTM and campaigns. Delivers the GTM and campaigns via Partner Business Development Managers. Acts as a single point of governance for all Microsoft activity for GreenLake. Works closely with the WW GreenLake GTM team and the Geo Sales organization. Works with key global functions, partner enablement, marketing, and portfolio to ensure the Geos are setup to execute on HPE activities with Microsoft, leveraging the broader organization when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for business growth with Microsoft including developing tactics to generate new business
  • Regularly interlock with Geo Microsoft teams to uncover new strategic needs and subsequently execute those via pilots and leads to drive those initiatives
  • Provides input to peers and leadership team on overall strategy
  • Ensures optimum sales coverage through our Geo Microsoft partner teams
  • Support the Geo partner teams to build consultative relationships with Microsoft business units and key influencers
  • Demonstrates in depth knowledge of the GL business and portfolio and provides external leadership to industry, community, press.
  • Demonstrates thought leadership by directing the Microsoft application of technology to new business problems.
  • Works across regions/geographies and WW teams to develop and/or implement new/enhanced services, solutions, or programs and associated processes to meet emerging customer/market needs and fuel profitable growth.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Typically 12+ years to demonstrate mastery of Business Management
  • Typically first level and advanced level university degree

Knowledge and Skills:

  • High knowledge of IT and services industry
  • Focused on doing what’s right for the business. High energy and contagious enthusiasm. Willing to take on the tough projects and challenges to support growth of the business.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment.
  • Execution Management - Collaborates effectively with the company's BUs and value chain partners to ensure operational responsiveness to challenges, and alignment with business imperatives. Acts decisively once decision is taken.
  • C-Level Partnering - Contributes to enduring executive relationships that establish the company's consultative professionalism and promotes its total solution capabilities at the highest levels of the Microsoft’s organization. Acts as the escalation point for customer issues.
  • Solution Selling - Approaches selling from a business solution perspective to ensure that company products and services accurately address the client's true business need in terms of type, scope, level.
  • Business and Financial Acumen - Exhibits authoritative business and financial acumen to develop meaningful business recommendations; Understands the portfolio aspect of the company's products/services and how the businesses work together. Understands the balance sheet drivers of Microsoft’s and balances with company requirements.
  • Problem Solving - Approaches problems in a rational manner using sound strategies that ensure comprehensive understanding and effective resolution.
  • Global Presence - Represents the company with the cultural sensitivity and business maturity appropriate to the high degree of corporate access and level of responsibility involved.
  • Able to communicate effectively across multiple levels in Microsoft, other partner organizations, the company and the industry

Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $228,500.00 - $553,000.00
