What You Will Do - Essential Functions
The IT Automation Systems Engineer is responsible for the designing and development of Lucet automations and supporting applications that enhance business functionality. The ideal candidate is a person that strives to achieve excellence backed by strong architectural, system design, and automation experience. Automation and Infrastructure Development:
Investigate, design, implement and maintain scalable, robust, best-in-industry, innovative technologies that support and expand Lucet’s infrastructure growth.
Partner with engineering and operational teams to lead automation efforts.
Develop modern automation solutions in Broadcom Automic Automation using native Automic scripts.
Develop workflows and tasks to enhance automation capabilities.
Contribute to the strategic vision and evolution of enterprise infrastructure.
Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies for adoption.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Troubleshoot technical issues, identify modifications, and recommend enhancements needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements and improve systems and processes.
Coordinate with team members in an on-call rotation to support after-hours operations.
Install, upgrade and maintain automation and other supporting software solutions in a Microsoft Windows Server environment.
Project Management and Customer Relations:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and design specifications.
Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects.
Provide technical guidance for new software initiatives and enhancements to existing systems.
Support project planning and documentation using tools like Microsoft Office Suite.
Foster strong working relationships with customers and internal partners.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or automation engineering
Proven experience implementing and managing automation tools such as Broadcom Automic Automation, Automate Now, Control-M, CHEF, or Puppet.
Proven experience with SFTP server management (e.g., Serv-U MFT) or general SFTP Server Administration
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
Experience building workflows, deploying, configuring, and using modern automation tools
Experience with Git or a similar version control tool
Experience with scripting, automation, and orchestration tools such as PowerShell, Python, MSSQL or JCL
Experience with automating infrastructure builds
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure Development Server or Visual Studio Deployments
Demonstrate excellent written and communication skills
Ability to pass background check upon hire and throughout employment to include criminal felony & misdemeanor search, SSN validation/trace search (LEIE), education report (highest degree obtained), civil upper and lower search, 7-year employment report, federal criminal search, statewide criminal search, widescreen plus national criminal search, health care sanctions-state med (SAM), national sex offender registry, prohibited parties (OFAC) (terrorist watchlist), and a 9-Panel Drug Screen.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed from home with company-provided equipment. Sitting for long periods of time is expected and use of fingers and hands for typing is necessary.
A quiet workspace with minimal background noise for calls.
High-speed internet service (cable or fiber optic) with minimum download Speed of 20 Mbps, Upload Speed of 5 Mbps, and Maximum Latency of 100 milliseconds (must be installed before starting).
