Job description

Overview

The Payroll Analyst plays an integral role by helping to ensure everyone gets paid accurately and on time. You will have a direct impact on the employee experience, system implementations, and have the opportunity to contribute to special projects. As a valued member of our team, you will play a key role in compliance, audits and assist with building sustainable processes.

Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end bi-weekly payroll for multi-state employees, including new hires, terminations, bonuses, and commissions
  • Audit timekeeping and attendance data while maintaining data integrity
  • Processes wage garnishments, pay levies and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary State office or jurisdiction.
  • Partner with Finance on payroll-related inquiries regarding journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Coordinate with HR Operations, HRIS, and Benefit teams to ensure accurate employee data updates
  • Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while supporting year-end processing
  • Generate payroll reports for audits and compliance needs
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and continuously identify areas for process improvement
  • Interacts with employees and vendors to proactively address and resolve payroll issues.
  • Assist the Care Centers with the reconciliation of payroll prior to transmission and final approvals.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 - 4 years’ experience in multi-state payroll processing
  • Accurate and rapid data entry skills
  • Knowledge of current payroll related laws and regulations
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills oral and written; able to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Advanced HRIS and Microsoft Office applications including Vlookup and pivot tables
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze problems and develop creative solutions
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • UKG experience is highly preferred.
  • Background working in a fast paced, high-growth environment
  • Must be a self-starter, self- sufficient, and able to accomplish expected tasks under minimal supervision.
