Job description

🚀 TheHRChapter is hiring a Freelance Web Developer & Help Desk Support Specialist to join our small but mighty remote team.

This role is perfect for someone reliable, tech-savvy, and solution-oriented who enjoys working across multiple brands and solving small but essential tech challenges that keep things running smoothly.

You’ll be supporting two of our purpose-driven platforms:

TheHRChapter – Content and community for HR professionals and leaders
Coach4Expats – Personal and professional coaching for expats around the world

This is a remote, part-time freelance role with flexible hours and ongoing collaboration.

About your functions and responsibilities

  • Maintain and update WordPress websites (pages, blog posts, SEO basics, plugin updates)
  • Troubleshoot website issues and provide first-line support for technical problems
  • Assist with integrations and tools (e.g. forms, email platforms, analytics)
  • Monitor performance and flag potential issues related to speed, UX, or security
  • Work directly with the brand founders to support platform improvements and optimizations

What do you need to be successful?

  • Experience managing WordPress websites, especially with page builders like Elementor
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, responsive design, and performance best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort troubleshooting independently
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respond in a timely manner
  • Bonus if you have experience with email marketing tools, automation flows, or basic graphic editing
