Job description

WatchGuard is looking for a passionate and motivated Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team.  You will need to work efficiently and effectively in a fun, fast-paced dynamic team environment.  As a Sr. SDET, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining tools, test cases, and other software automation. Developing test strategies, performance results and risk assessments will be needed as projects are assigned.  Creating unit, integration and performance tests for our continuous build pipeline is required.  Direct collaboration with software developers, product managers, and program managers is expected to deliver world class products.  

What you’ll be doing:

•Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end to end tests in our continuous build pipeline. 
•Help maintain our Jenkins continuous build pipeline.
•Develop test tools that will assist the team where needed.  
•Create test plans and cases based on project’s requirements and timeline, design reusable test cases and estimate total test efforts.
•Execute functional, system, regression, and performance test passes.
•Provide continuous improvements to our testing processes and frameworks. 
•Document software defects and proactively communicate issues with stakeholders.  
•Develop and define test standards and measurements, driving adoption of operational metrics to track system quality and performance
•Generate effective test status and defect/progress reports.

What you need to bring to the table:

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field
•Solid of experience as a developer, QA Engineer, or SDET
•Solid experience working with Microsoft solution stack as developer or SDET including .Net, C#, MSSQL, PowerShell, Windows operating system, Windows server and Azure Cloud
•Effectively communicate with other engineers and program managers
•A track record of improving QA efficiency through test automation and tools
•Experience with Microsoft UnitTest NUnit or XUnit
•Experience with integration test with Git & Jenkins build
•Experience with Docker, Helm and Kubernetes
•Experience with APM tools to monitor quality
•Experience with TSQL & Stored procedures 
•Experience with Visual Studio test framework
•Experience with agile development
•Experience with Test Automation tools such as Selenium, Coded UI, TestComplete is a plus
•Salesforce test experiences is a plus
