Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Governance Analyst for a remote position in Monterey, CA. This role will work cross-functionally to implement and enforce data governance and quality standards, manage and maintain the enterprise data catalog, perform ongoing data quality assessments, and support key data initiatives across the organization.
Collaborated cross-functionally to implement data governance frameworks and enforce enterprise data quality standards
Managed the enterprise data catalog, ensuring metadata accuracy, accessibility, and completeness
Conducted data profiling, validation, and cleansing to ensure data integrity across systems
Defined, monitored, and reported on data quality metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement
Provided subject matter expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) and data lifecycle best practices
Supported data management initiatives aligned with governance and compliance standards
Contributed to the development and optimization of ETL processes for integrating data from diverse sources
Analyzed large datasets using SQL, Excel, and Python to identify trends, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement
Applied knowledge of data use agreements and system interface agreements to ensure proper data handling and compliance
Communicated data quality findings and recommendations effectively across technical and non-technical teams
Job Qualifications:
Experience with MDM and data governance best practices
Proficient in data quality assessment techniques and data cleansing processes
Skilled in data profiling and validation methodologies
Ability to define and implement data quality metrics and KPIs
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and/or Python for data analysis
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies
Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data integration workflows
Familiarity with data use agreements and system interface agreements
