Job description

A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Sales to drive the expansion of our Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) services in the US market. This role will focus on selling supplier risk monitoring, audits, and compliance solutions, helping companies mitigate regulatory risks, supply chain disruptions, and ESG challenges.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in consultative B2B sales, engaging with procurement, compliance, and supply chain teams in industries with complex supplier networks, such as automotive, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing. Experience in SaaS-based risk management solutions is a plus, as DEKRA continues to expand its digital compliance offerings.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for DEKRA’s supplier risk management services.
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers in procurement, supply chain, and compliance teams.
  • Drive sales of supplier audits, due diligence, and compliance solutions, helping companies mitigate supply chain disruptions, regulatory risks, and ESG challenges.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, risk analysts, technical experts) to align solutions with client needs.
  • Stay updated on global regulations and industry trends (e.g., UFLPA, CSDDD, ESG reporting) to position DEKRA as a trusted compliance partner.
  • Support the development and promotion of digital risk management solutions, including SaaS-based supplier monitoring platforms.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or MBA in a related field (e.g. Risk) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in consultative B2B sales, selling supplier audits, risk management, or regulatory compliance solutions.
  • Strong understanding of supplier risk, due diligence, and regulatory frameworks affecting global supply chains.
  • Prior experience at a Big 4 or equivalent consulting firm is highly desirable, especially with expertise in Supply Chain, ESG, Risk Management, or Compliance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in engaging cross-functional teams-including procurement, compliance, and supply chain-in sectors like automotive, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing to ensure alignment and regulatory compliance. Experience in SaaS-based risk management solutions or supplier data platforms preferred.
  • Knowledge about Standards: UL508, NFPA79, EN 60204, ISO 13849 and SPE-1000, UL 61010, IEC 60601, IEC 60335, IEC 62368 or other applicable standards are a plus
  • Ability to translate supply chain risks into actionable business solutions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

 

Physical Considerations:

  • Must be able to work in a variety of client locations, environments, and conditions. This may include climbing stairs, walking long distances, walking on rough and uneven terrain, walking through client work facilities, working in heat/cold conditions, indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be able to accommodate working various shifts as client activities are scheduled.
  • Must be able to withstand the rigors of extensive travel.
  • May require difficult travel and long periods of driving.
  • Ability to move and conduct work with full range of motion.
  • Ability to lift 25-50lbs (luggage).
  • Extended periods of computer-based work.
  • Extended periods of standing.

 

Travel Considerations:

  • Domestic travel; estimated 30-50%

Compensation: 

DEKRA North America’s compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.  The base pay for this position ranges from $120,000 annually in our lowest geographic market up to $150,000 annually in our highest geographic market.  Actual pay is based on several factors including market location and position-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
