The Clinical Analytics & Reporting Team is responsible for designing, developing and overseeing analytical solutions for our clinical and operations partners in support of DaVita’s clinical strategy. Our team’s mission is to inform and guide clinical focus, support clinical innovation, and improve patient outcomes and quality of life by transforming complex data into actionable, easy-to-digest information.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with clinical subject matter experts and operational leadership to identify key clinical questions that can be answered using data to drive clinical goals and objectives
  • Structure analytic plans that comprehensively address clinical questions and provide a structured methodology and approach for analysis
  • Utilize multiple computational languages, platforms and environments to mine and manage data in preparation for analysis
  • Manage a broad portfolio of projects and stakeholders
  • Adhere to best demonstrated practices in clinical analytics from the fields of informatics, biostatistics, epidemiology, and data science to analyze data and provide unbiased and unconfounded answers to clinical questions
  • Synthesize results in a non-technical manner to inform recommendations and next steps for leadership
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to socialize analytic findings and drive management processes to meaningful results
  • Become a subject matter expert and thought partner in clinical and methodologic areas
  • Mentor and supervise teammates
  • Willing to travel (up to 10% of time)

Qualifications:

Education:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytic/quantitative discipline from an accredited university (e.g. epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in another domain plus equivalent practical experience acceptable


Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field from an accredited school or program of public health

               

Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Demonstrated experience and expertise with data visualization and reporting software (e.g. Tableau, IBM Cognos, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise with database management and/or query languages (e.g. SQL, PostgreSQL, Netezza SQL, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience with statistical and/or epidemiological methods including: data management and cleaning, study design, causal inference analysis, epidemiologic modeling
  • Ability and willingness to become proficient in additional platforms/programming languages (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with ideating, developing and deploying metrics/Key Performance Indicators
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in at least one data analysis platform/language (e.g. R, SAS, SPSS, etc.)

Other Requirements:

  • 5-7+ years of relevant work experience in a technical/analytics function
  • Experience leading and developing strong technical teams, including 2-5+ years of direct supervision of technical resources
  • Ability to work independently as part of a high-performing team
  • Demonstrated success working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where high-quality and precise work-product is a must and is frequently delivered or presented to leadership, including the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and other executives
  • Successful in managing multiple priorities and deadlines at the same time
  • Effective communicator (i.e. ability to explain complex and detailed analyses or other matters in concise and simple terms for a wide-range of stakeholders)

Salary/ Wage Range

$75,200.00 - $110,400.00 / year

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt:
• New York City and Long Island: $64,350.00/year
• Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $64,350.00/year
• Remainder of New York state: $60,405.80/year

New York Non-exempt:
• New York City and Long Island: $16.50/hour
• Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $16.50/hour
• Remainder of New York state: $15.50/hour


Washington Exempt: $77,968.80/year

Washington Non-exempt:
• Bellingham: $17.66/hour
• Burien: $21.16/hour
• Unincorporated King County: $20.29/hour
• Renton: $20.90/hour
• Seattle: $20.76/hour
• Tukwila: $21.10/hour
• Remainder of Washington state: $16.66/hour
