We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Contracts in the Mission Solutions & Payloads (MSP) sub Strategic Business Unit (SBU) within the Air & Space Defense Systems SBU.  In this role, you will be responsible for the guidance, management, and administration for United States Government (USG) Department of Defense (DoD) prime contracts and Other Transaction agreements, as well as subcontracts with U.S. Government Prime Contractors.

The person in this role will be a strategic member of the Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT) Contracts team, with responsibility for owning contract management/administration actions with an emphasis on employing sound change management and communication skills. This position will report directly to the Contracts Director of the Enterprise & Strategic Mission Systems program area and will need to collaborate closely with program management and cross-functional teams. PNT is a challenging, fast-paced environment which will be well suited for a highly motivated, well-organized person who enjoys working in an exciting, collaborative team environment.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts execution, as well as general contract administration

  • Lead change management actions such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) from directed change through negotiation and award

  • Review estimates at completion (EAC)

  • Collaborate with the Contracts team, Program Directors, Senior Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Proposal Manager, Business/Estimating and Supply Chain to construct, submit and negotiate pricing proposals

  • Support program management and execution reviews

  • Ensure that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies

  • Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and comply with company policies

  • Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising stakeholders of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks

  • Supervise, lead, coach and mentor other Contracts team members

  • Identify, mitigate, and drive the resolution of contractual issues as they may arise

  • Minimal (<5%) travel requirement to customer locations

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ relevant experience

  • Experience with U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental (DFARS) and related government regulations and contracts

  • Experience leading and/or mentoring teams

Remote: This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).#LI-Remote

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
