Position Title: Head of Business Operations (Remote)     

Contract: Full-time, Independent Contractor      

Location:  100% remote  

Working hours: 40 hours per week

The Role:  

Our continued growth means we are recruiting an experienced Head of Business Operations who will lead the function as we evolve and ensure it is structured and efficiently operating to continue scaling the Firm at pace. While this position has considerable leadership and people management responsibilities, the person selected will also be expected to roll up their sleeves and work alongside their team to build the business operations infrastructure and workflows necessary for the Firm. 

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for providing strategic leadership for procurement, risk, and data teams, along with the overarching function of Business Operations. 

• Define and then operationalize company strategy and goals. 

• Work very closely with senior leadership and particularly in partnership with Finance and People teams to ensure that all operations are running smoothly.  

• Collaborate closely with colleagues globally on a remote basis, to define and implement where necessary, infrastructure and processes. 

• Able to lead and create synergy across various teams and disciplines, ensuring efforts are combined to achieve shared goals. 

• Provide meaningful insights and analysis to senior management ensuring first class Firm-wide performance. 

• Monitor Partner performance and monitor associate and paralegal utilization. 

• Manage our company business registration and all associated regulatory requirements. 

Qualifications:  

• 12-15 years’ + experience in Business Operations 

• Strong leadership and team management experience across Business Ops (Data, Procurement, Risk, etc.) 

• Previous background enabling a global team in a remote working environment with proper remote infrastructure, programs, and practices. 

• Experience setting up business operations in a startup or scale-up environment. 

• Experience with Professional Services preferred. 

• Proven ability to solve problems, think critically, and deliver operational excellence. 

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, dealing with a variety of audiences.
