Position Summary

Westman Atelier is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer who will be responsible for the development and execution of print and visual merchandising design assets across retail and marketing applications. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate designer to work across a wide range of projects, including packaging, digital content, social media, and brand collateral. You’ll collaborate with a talented team to bring fresh, on-brand visuals to life in a fast-paced and trend-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the senior team members to transform campaign concepts into visual executions, including but not limited to visual merchandising updates, digital + print product campaign collateral, and marketing and event materials
  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and develop creative concepts that align with objectives and brand identities.
  • Own projects from concept to execution under the guidance of the Design Director; Review work with the Store Design and Visual Merchandising team and other cross-functional stakeholders and incorporate feedback into thoughtful final assets
  • Ensure that all projects are executed with consistency in quality and adherence to timelines
  • Optimize designed assets to brand guidelines and industry best practices
  • Stay up to date with the latest design trends in graphic design and typography to contribute fresh ideas and perspectives to projects

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in fine arts, graphic design, visual communications or a related field
  • 1-3 years of graphic design experience in retail and/or DTC brand space, preferably in beauty
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, with a keen understanding of graphic design principles and print production. Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or motion tools is a bonus.
  • A strong conceptual thinker with a background in print design; working understanding of digital best-practices is a plus
  • A strong communicator, with the ability to prioritize and manage work while adhering to critical timelines
  • Ability to own a project from start to finish, working autonomously, but welcoming feedback and collaboration
  • Passionate about branding, storytelling, and producing engaging content that adheres consistently to brand guidelines
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a willingness to learn
  • A portfolio with strong work example
Westman Atelier offers a holistic total compensation package designed to support employees in all aspects of life, including a robust suite of health benefits, wellness perks, 401k, and paid parental leave. The base salary for this position will range from $70,000-78,000. Exact compensation may vary based on job related skills, experience, and location.
