Job Summary:

We are looking for a Lead Technical Accountant
to join our Accounting and Finance Team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and maintaining high standards of compliance with GAAP and internal controls. You will work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization and contribute to both recurring reporting responsibilities and complex technical accounting projects.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and review of quarterly consolidated financial statements and disclosures in full compliance with GAAP.
  • Draft and support financial disclosures, including statements of cash flows and EPS calculations.
  • Partner with the accounting team to ensure that financial transactions are recorded and presented accurately.
  • Support the month-end close process with a strong understanding of internal control principles.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations, proactively resolving discrepancies as they arise.
  • Research and evaluate technical accounting issues and disclosure implications for complex or non-standard transactions.
  • Monitor and assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and ensure timely compliance.
  • Prepare and/or review SOX documentation related to financial reporting controls.
  • Respond to internal and external audit inquiries and support both quarterly reviews and the year-end audit process.
  • Coordinate effectively with external auditors and manage audit deliverables.
  • Take on additional job-related functions, special projects, and ad hoc requests as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with strong focus on technical accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (experience with Netsuite preferred)
  • Experience with financial reporting and M&As preferred
  • In-depth understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
