Who we are looking for
We're on the lookout for a high-impact leader to join us as Regional Manager Broker Distribution, based out of Victoria. This role is all about driving performance and growth across our broker sales and distribution teams in the southern region (VIC, TAS, WA, SA, NT). You’ll lead a team of passionate BDMs, foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and play a key role in shaping strategy, process, and performance. This is a key role within Athena, and the position is responsible for:

• Function management - Responsible for Broker distribution sales function for both our white label offerings, MC freedom and LMG Apollo
• Sales Performance – Responsible for sales performance of broker distribution performance across our southern region VIC/TAS/WA/SA/NT (to settlement)
• Leadership and people - build out and lead the broker sales and distribution teams in southern region
• Stakeholder & Third Party relationships Create and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and also externally with Third Parties.
• Process – part of process execution and process design with product team
• Policy – work with Cyber, Tech, Risk, and other functions to get to great policies that lead to great outcomes for white label distribution – Along with Head of broker distribution play a leadership role in setting the vision and requirements for Athena to achieve goals in broker
• Partner Management – play a leadership role in creating a partnership that delivers on the growth opportunity within the broker white label market
• Risk & Quality Assurance – Ensuring all risk and compliance requirements are met, all the right processes being followed.
• Internal decision making – leading discussions in Athena about topics such as opportunities, risks and investment decisions
• Customer complaints and resolution – Resolve any customer complaints and poor broker reviews.
• Optimisation – Bring an optimisation mindset to every day, what can we do differently, test and learn. Always looking to be more efficient, faster, better
