The Retirement Data Analyst serves as the lead analytics expert for data across our institutional retirement business, focusing on 401(k) and other employer-sponsored retirement plans. This role translates complex datasets into strategic insights and executive-level narratives, supporting leadership decisions, client outcomes, and business growth. This role acts as the central connector across systems and data sources—understanding where data lives, how it's structured, and how to best present it. They triage data requests, identify the right sources, validate quality, structure reports, and deliver business intelligence throughout.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):
Lead development of dashboards, scorecards, and executive reports using Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, and Snowflake.
Partner with business leaders to frame strategic questions and determine the right data and visualizations to support decision-making.
Act as a system-wide integrator, connecting data from multiple business lines and identifying nuances in source systems. Familiarity with Fi360 is a plus.
Architect and automate data pipelines using SQL and APIs, ensuring scalable and accurate reporting.
Champion data governance and quality standards, especially during M&A transitions and system integrations.
Own analytics for the Financial Education & Guidance (FE&G) program, analyzing retirement plan participant engagement data and outcomes.
Identify data deficits and solve them to capture missing information.
Design and deliver reports that mine critical data and surface business opportunities.
Represent and support OneDigital Retirement team members with technical expertise and solutioning in discussion with outside data providers, including Recordkeepers, TPAs, and Technical Providers.
Understand, apply prioritization to, and execute existing data projects for the Retirement Operations team.
Produce quarterly reports for business line leadership across all measurements capturing growth metrics.
Respond to on-demand data requests from compliance and/or RFP requests.
Be an active and engaged team member
Qualifications & Experience:
5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related roles.
Advanced skills in Excel (Power Query, complex transformations).
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with cloud-based data systems.
Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms.
Familiarity with API integrations and tools such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
Demonstrated success communicating complex findings to senior leadership in a clear, actionable way.
Preferred: Experience in the institutional retirement plan space (e.g., 401(k), 403(b), 457), Salesforce dashboards, and Snowflake.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
Candidates with nontraditional backgrounds and strong portfolios will be considered.

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $60,000 to $75,000 per year.
Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
