About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Applications Architect/Advisor/Lead who provides expert guidance on application architecture, design, and technology selection, acting as a trusted advisor to teams and customer across an organization, ensuring the quality and scalability of applications while aligning with strategic business objectives. The successful candidate will be a skilled leader with a proven track record of driving results, exceeding client expectations, building trust across the organization, applying critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Architecture Planning:
Define and maintain long-term application architecture vision, considering future trends and business needs.
Evaluate new technologies and frameworks to identify potential solutions for upcoming projects.
Lead architecture discussions and decision-making processes with stakeholders across different teams.
Technical Design and Guidance:
Review and provide feedback on application designs, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and best practices.
Guide development teams on complex technical challenges, including system integration, performance optimization, and scalability.
Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies related to application architecture.
Solution and Product Evaluation and Selection:
Assess new technologies and solutions and recommend appropriate technology stacks based on business requirements and architectural considerations.
Evaluate new technologies and frameworks to identify potential opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Trusted Advisory
Act as a knowledgeable and reliable partner to the customer, providing expert guidance and recommendations to help them achieve their goals.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and 8 years of experience. Additional 4 years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree
Significant experience as an application architect, with a proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale enterprise applications.
Demonstrated experience in application modernization to cloud native architectures
Demonstrated experience working in large scale agile DevOps environment
Demonstrated experience building very large scale, high availability applications
Demonstrated experience with modern, modular, event-driven micro-services architectures.
Demonstrated experience deploying and operating service and applications in an Amazon AWS infrastructure environment (EC2, S3, RDS/PostgreSQL, NLB,)
Experience with Ansible.
Demonstrated experience with NIST 800-53 security controls and the software accreditation process on secure networks.
Must be a US Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
