Joining the Journey Beyond family, you will play an integral role in supporting our business as we continue to share special places and shape lasting memories for our guests.

Outback Spirit Tours offers a range of unique adventure tours and luxury short stays across our beautiful country. Our adventures capture the very essence of Australia, from the rugged red cliffs of the Kimberley to the unspoiled natural wonder of Tasmania, we bring iconic experiences to life. We operate 9 lodges in some of the most remote, inaccessible and beautiful locations. Our team of guides, drivers, camp and operations staff are passionate about the outdoors and take pride in bringing our guests on the adventure of a lifetime.

Seven Spirit Bay is an iconic Northern Territory wilderness lodge and one of the very first luxury lodges in the outback. This is an iconic wilderness lodge located on the western side of Port Essington on the Cobourg Peninsula. It is only accessible by Outback Spirit boats or aircraft.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Lodge Manager, you will lead our team through the end of the touring and fishing seasons. You will take on a hands-on leadership role, overseeing all aspects of the operation to ensure an exceptional guest experience. You'll lead a dynamic and dedicated team, inspiring them to deliver outstanding service with a strong focus on collaboration and efficiency. Your involvement will go beyond management tasks; you will not be afraid to get your hands dirty, sometimes stepping in to assist with housekeeping or food and beverage service, all while fostering an environment where creativity thrives and a shared passion for hospitality motivates every team member.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the property with a hands-on approach, ensuring harmonious collaboration between the front of house, housekeeping, restaurant, and maintenance teams.
  • Implement company policies and procedures that streamline operational efficiency and enhance the guest experience.
  • Monitor budgets and track expenses to help achieve the business's financial goals while keeping things on track.
  • Train and develop a cohesive team that communicates effectively, providing regular and constructive feedback to foster growth.
  • Ensure the property complies with all local and state regulations, prioritising safety and well-being in all aspects of operations.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction using the Net Promoter Score and proactively address any concerns to create a memorable experience for every guest.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers, owners, investors, and stakeholders, contributing to a supportive community.
  • Prepare and share monthly reports and updates to provide insights on operational performance and highlight strategic initiatives.
  • Support the continuous improvement of our lodge operations through proactive communications with the Operations team in Darwin
