The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that drive business insights and decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust data pipelines, optimize data architectures, and ensure data quality and integrity.

What you’ll be doing

  • Design and Develop Data Solutions: Architect and implement scalable, high-performance data models and ETL/ELT pipelines in AWS.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from diverse sources, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency across systems.
  • Optimize Data Infrastructure: Continuously monitor and enhance data systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Implement Best Practices: Establish and promote data engineering best practices, including data modeling, coding standards, and documentation.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehouse like Snowflake.
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, Scala, or Node.js.
  • Experience in building and maintaining large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS

Salary Range

The base salary compensation range targeted for this full-time position is $204,000-$261,000 per annum. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and equity (in the form of options). This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
