Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Chain Account Manager (CHAM) is a growth-oriented leader responsible for driving the expansion of FIFCO USA’s presence within the retail channel. This role is focused on building new business opportunities, expanding the reach of FIFCO’s portfolio, and deepening engagement with key and emerging retail partners. The CHAM will strategically grow their account base by developing high-impact relationships, identifying underdeveloped or untapped opportunities, and executing tailored programming that aligns with national and regional priorities. Working cross-functionally with Field Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Insights, and our wholesaler network, the CHAM will develop and execute data-driven sales strategies to accelerate revenue growth, increase distribution, and gain market share. This role is accountable for not only managing existing relationships but also proactively identifying and developing new customer relationships that contribute to long-term business expansion.

This role executes and tracks FIFCO programs and priorities by collaborating, influencing and communicating with our distribution partners. The CHAM will ensure that support in the retail market enhances the overall sales and brand strategy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and maintain an effective call point schedule based on the assigned call book to sell the FIFCO portfolio
  • Communicate and track all programming with wholesalers and internal sales and marketing; including execution of ads, features, displays and INBI
  • Drive Business growth by selling in programming developed with and by Marketing and Trade Marketing
  • Establish credibility and a working relationship with our internal field sales positions as well as FIFCO USA wholesalers 
  • Establish and maintain an effective call point schedule based on priority accounts and key wholesalers for the regions                                                                                                                                   
  • Attend key wholesaler business planning meetings and CPPMs as it pertains to chain business
  • Initiate relationships and schedule meetings with key decision makers for assigned accounts both in the field and at their HQ                                                                                                            
  • Coordinate with Insights Analyst in all areas of analysis (pricing, distribution, OOS, INBI, features and shelf space)                                                                                                      
  • Work regularly in key markets for assigned accounts to drive and track execution of regional and national retail initiatives                                                                                                        
  • Develop post and pre promotional analysis, schematic distribution and shelf space opportunities, category validator account strategy, and field sales reporting/tracking tools                                
  • Influence field marketing and brand teams to support channel strategy through effective promotions, merchandising, and specialty package development                                                               
  • Identify and pursue distribution and whitespace opportunities to expand market presence
  • Develop and manage individual retail annual business plans for each call point; including the identification of the account’s SWOT, distribution gaps, POC level opportunities and promotional opportunities    
  • Utilize CRM/KARMA for surveys and as a communication tool for internal network                            
  • Manage pricing along with the Market Managers                                                                                        
  • Understand market trends and how they affect our business                                                                    
  • Must have a working knowledge of all available resources (iDIG, VIP SRS, IRI, BI, etc.)                             
  • Effectively manage budgets in alignment with strategic account goals
  • Understand the reset process for assigned chains, including timing, new items, paperwork requirements       

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 
  • 3-5 years’ sales experience in a retail or chain account management role with a proven track record of growing accounts, expanding territory coverage, or launching new programs successfully.
  • Experience using syndicated data (i.e. IRI, Nielsen, VIP)
  • Microsoft Office

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $87,600 - $131,400/year, not including benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at FIFCO USA, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to enable future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous benefits package!
