Job description

 Senior Compliance Investigator
 

Join our Global Ethics and Investigations Team!
 

The Senior Compliance Investigator is responsible for conducting internal investigations, communicating results in writing, and recommending necessary corrective action to best protect the company and assure adherence to all aspects of the company code of conduct, policy, and law.  The successful candidate will work remotely conducting investigations in all countries the company conducts business.

We are looking for an experienced investigator with extensive experience with leading investigations into complex subject areas.  Federal or state law enforcement investigations experience is preferred but not required.  Experience conducting forensic analysis of available evidence is also preferred.  The role is a remote position posted in where in the United States and the scope of subject matter is international.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct investigation of allegations raised through the Open Reporting program. These allegations could be related to -violation of our code of conduct / company policies / law.

  • Review, scope, and build an investigation plan for all escalated employee complaints, allegations, disputes, and claims related to the code of conduct, policy, regulations, or law.

  • Conduct forensics review of available evidence.

  • Interview relevant witnesses and subject matter experts.

  • Summarize investigation findings in writing, working with the proper Subject Matter Experts, Legal, local HR and the business to ensure comprehensive review, investigation and documentation is complete.

  • Partner with labor and employment counsel, business leadership, and HR to determine appropriate corrective actions

  • Monitor incoming case volume on a daily basis to manage personal case load and insure timely completion of investigation.

  • Proactively identify ways to prevent or reduce allegations of a similar nature through the implementation of additional procedures, training and communications.

  • Use sound judgment to mitigate risk and weigh the importance and validity of information to form fact-based opinions, consults with Legal prior to making formal recommendations where appropriate.

  • Multi-task with ease while prioritizing the most urgent needs.

  • Other duties or project work may be assigned.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or commensurate relevant experience

  • At least 10 years-experience with internal investigations or equivalent law enforcement experience

  • Experience in HR, Finance, Security, Legal or compliance organization

  • Quickly learn company policies, processes, and tools

  • Strong listening, interviewing, counseling skills, and writing skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with an ability to effectively interact with all levels within an organization, as well as the ability to create and summarize detailed written reports

  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy, tact and business acumen

  • Demonstrated ability to drive results through individual efforts and influencing others, without authority over them

  • Strong problem solving and investigatory skills; ability to objectively identify, assess, resolve, and mitigate risk while ensuring optimal results or outcomes are achieved

  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and achieve resolutions in a timely manner

  • Ability to prioritize in the face of competing priorities, interruptions and distractions

  • High level of integrity and objectivity to ensure proper outcomes are obtained
