Job Description

This job is responsible for safeguarding Allstate's assets by analyzing complex claim data to identify potential risks or integrity issues.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining operational controls to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the claims process. This role requires a deep understanding of claims operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to manage and mitigate operational risks within the claims department. 
  • Design and implement operational controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 
  • Analyze current claims processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Ensure all claims processes comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of operational controls and identify trends or anomalies. 
  • Prepare and present reports on operational control performance, risk assessments, and compliance status to senior management. 
  • Provide training and support to claims staff on operational controls and compliance procedures. 
  • Work closely with other departments, including IT, Legal, and Finance, to ensure integrated and effective operational controls. 

 

Education 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.  
  • Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIP, CPA, CISA, CIA, CRMA) are a plus. 

Experience 

  • 3 or more years of experience in audit and/or risk management, operational risk/controls, or compliance within the financial services industry (Preferred) 
  • Previous experience in big 4 auditing firms is a plus
