Role Overview:
The New Business and Account Manager (South) will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and expanding our customer base in the southern region. This role requires a strategic and consultative sales professional who is passionate about technology and understands the unique needs of the leisure industry. The successful candidate will also play a key role in leading on new tenders, collaborating closely with our Bid Manager to deliver compelling and competitive proposals, and attend industry events to generate leads and build our brand presence.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development:
Identify and Prospect New Clients: Proactively research and identify potential leisure and recreation facilities in the southern region, initiating contact and developing strong sales pipelines
Lead Generation: Leverage various channels, including networking, attending industry events, and digital outreach, to generate high-quality leads
Product Presentations & Demos: Deliver engaging product demonstrations tailored to each prospect’s needs, highlighting how our software solutions can add value and solve operational challenges
Proposal Creation: Prepare and present compelling proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals to achieve or exceed sales targets.
Lead on New Tenders:
Tender Management: Take the lead on new tenders, working collaboratively with our Bid Manager to prepare, review, and submit high-quality tender responses that meet client specifications and deadlines
Strategy Development: Develop a strategic approach to each tender, ensuring our solution is positioned effectively to maximise success
Coordination & Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams, including product, marketing, and operations, to gather necessary information and craft persuasive, well-researched bid documents.
Account Management:
Client Relationship Management: Serve as the main point of contact for existing clients in the southern region, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement
Upselling & Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional software features and services to existing clients, driving incremental revenue
Customer Success: Monitor and support the successful implementation of our solutions, ensuring clients achieve their business objectives and providing training where necessary
Renewals & Retention: Manage the contract renewal process, addressing any client concerns and proactively ensuring retention.
Industry Events & Lead Tracking:
Event Attendance: Attend relevant industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to represent Xn Leisure, promote our software solutions, and engage with potential clients
Lead Tracking: Capture and track leads generated from events ensuring timely follow up and nurturing to convert them to opportunities
Brand Building: Actively contribute to raising brand awareness and establishing our presence withing the leisure & Wellness industry
Market & Industry Insight:
Market Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in the leisure management landscape to adapt sales strategies and inform product development
Customer Feedback: Act as the voice of the customer internally, providing feedback to marketing, product, and support teams to improve our offerings and service delivery.
Reporting & CRM Management:
CRM Utilisation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, client interactions, and account management tasks in the company’s CRM system
Sales Forecasting: Provide regular reports and updates on sales pipeline progress, forecasted revenue, and key account status.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven Sales Experience: Proven experience in a sales or account management role, preferably within the software, SaaS, or leisure industry
Track Record of Success: Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
Tender/Bid Experience: Experience leading or contributing to bid and tender processes, with an understanding of how to craft compelling proposals
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the leisure, sports, or community facilities sector is highly desirable
Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with both new prospects and existing clients
Consultative Selling: Experience in consultative, solution-based selling, with the ability to understand complex client needs and tailor proposals accordingly
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using and explaining software solutions, with an aptitude for learning new technologies
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to stakeholders at all levels
Negotiation & Closing: Skilled in negotiation, with a proven ability to close deals effectively.
