About the Role

The Senior Director, Publications and Medical Communications will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company’s medical communication strategy.

Reporting to the SVP, Global Medical Affairs, you will lead the development and dissemination of high-quality scientific and medical information to support the company’s products and pipeline. The role requires strategic vision, operational excellence, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities

Publications Planning and Execution:

Develop and implement a comprehensive publication strategy aligned with corporate and medical objectives.
Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations for peer-reviewed journals and scientific congresses.
Ensure publications adhere to ethical and compliance standards (e.g., ICMJE guidelines, GPP).

Medical Communications:

Lead the development of medical communication materials, including slide decks, FAQs, and evidence-based responses for medical science liaisons (MSLs).
Drive the creation of educational tools and materials to support internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute medical content for advisory boards, investigator meetings, and symposia.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Build and manage a high-performing publications and medical communications team, including internal staff and external vendors.
Partner with Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, and other key teams to ensure alignment of communication strategies with business objectives.
Provide strategic input to clinical trial design and data analysis to ensure impactful dissemination of study results.

Compliance and Quality:

Ensure all publications and medical communications are accurate, balanced, and consistent with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging data in the field.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Foster relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), external experts, and academic collaborators.
Represent the company at scientific and medical conferences and meetings.

Experience
