What Makes You a Great Fit: We are looking for a Regional Corporate Accounting Supervisor to join our growing LATAM and Canada Corporate Accounting team. This full-time position will lead the monthly close process for certain entities, handle broad range of corporate accounting responsibilities across LATAM and Canada, including supporting local and accounting reporting, oversight of daily operations for the entities in the region and assisting with preparing financial statements, GL accounting, reconciliations, local statutory financial statements and compliance.

You will report to our Director of Finance - LATAM. This is a remote position based in Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru or Argentina.

How You'll Make an Impact:

Help with the local month-end close processes and maintenance of general ledgers.
Ensure accurate monthly financial reporting deliverables.
Ensure accurate monthly accounting reconciliations between local books and Velocity Global's books.
Analyze accounting data to produce financial insights.
Oversight and support of daily corporate accounting operations within the LATAM and Canada region.
Review and maintenance of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounts.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company procedures, and regulations.
Identify and assist with process improvements projects across the Americas Region.
Help with special projects based on the needs of the corporate accounting department.
Support the Finance Director with preparing/reviewing journals, variance analysis and other Adhoc tasks as requested by Global Corporate Accounting.
Oversee NetSuite projects, account clean-up, and system enhancements.
Collaborate with IT and RFT on process improvements and system optimizations.
Support Internal/External audits.

8+ years of accounting/finance experience required.
Work with a wider global team and across different time zones.
Business proficiency in English required.
Experience in local statutory accounting reporting in other countries such as Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica or Colombia required.
Experience in foreign currency transactions, and understanding of IFRS or US GAAP required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and NetSuite experience required.
Display appropriate ethical knowledge through extraordinary integrity and professional conduct.
