Backed by one of the world’s largest and most respected energy infrastructure private equity funds, Calibrant offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile transactions with institutional support and long-term capital behind you.

This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role well-suited for a sharp, driven finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You’ll collaborate closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, gaining significant exposure to debt, tax equity, and sponsor equity transactions. This is a highly visible role with cross-functional engagement across development, legal, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Transaction Execution

  • Support the structuring, diligence, and execution of debt, tax equity, and sponsor equity transactions
  • Lead the preparation of financing packages (tax equity, debt, mezz)
  • Track and resolve lender Q&A from term sheet through financial close
  • Coordinate capital partner workstreams, including Q&A, document negotiation, and closing logistics

2.      Financial Modeling & Analysis

  • Own and maintain detailed cash-flow models for individual projects and portfolios
  • Perform capital stack structuring and scenario analysis (senior debt, tax equity, ABS)
  • Deliver IC-quality outputs (DSCR, LLCR, P50/P90 metrics) and lender-ready forecasts

3.      Project Screening & Commercial Diligence

  • Evaluate project opportunities for economic viability and financeability
  • Conduct preliminary credit reviews of offtakers and partners
  • Support pricing and structuring for Business Development bids
  • Provide early-stage feedback on project bankability and potential deal blockers

4.      Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Serve as the day-to-day finance contact for Legal, Development, and Engineering
  • Translate technical and permitting risks into commercial impact language
  • Build and maintain standardized checklists, trackers, and term sheet libraries

Requirements

  • 3‑6 years of project or structured finance experience in renewable energy, infrastructure PE, or investment banking.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, with comfort building complex project finance and tax equity models in Excel
  • Familiarity with energy infrastructure, distributed generation, or battery storage strongly preferred
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; able to walk IC or lender through a model.
  • Clear and confident communicator, comfortable engaging with both internal stakeholders and external capital providers
  • Self-starter with a high degree of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with BESS or distributed generation project structures
  • Familiarity with tax equity financing structures, including partnership flips, inverted leases, or sale-leasebacks
  • Understanding of key tax equity drivers such as depreciation, ITC eligibility, and compliance requirements
  • Exposure to construction debt, back-leverage facilities, or sponsor equity structuring
