Job description

Job Title: UX Researcher – Appointment Scheduling System
Location: Remote (Must be U.S.-based)
Clearance: Public Trust Clearance (preferably from Department of State)
Period: 5 months remaining on contract

About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated UX Researcher to join our team on to support the development of a new software application for online scheduling. This role will focus on mapping out user stories, user workflows, and supporting the documentation process to ensure that our product meets the needs of its users. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting research and providing valuable insights for complex systems, with a strong emphasis on customer experience (CX), human-centric (HCD) and user-centered design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research to gather insights and inform the design of the application.
  • Develop user personas, user stories, and user workflows based on research findings.
  • Create and maintain user journey maps and wireframes.
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure research is integrated into the product.
  • Assist with documentation to support the development and user experience process.
  • Provide recommendations based on research to improve product usability and performance.
  • Participate in user testing and gather feedback for iterative improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a UX Researcher or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles and research methodologies.
  • Experience with user story creation, persona development, and user workflow mapping.
  • Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and other design-related documentation.
  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, Sketch, or similar UX design software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and collaboration.
  • Must possess a Public Trust clearance; preferably from the Department of State.

Additional Information:

  • Salary: $100-120k, depending on experience
  • There are approximately 5 months left on contract, with a follow on expected
  • Remote role with flexible hours.
  • Competitive compensation based on experience.
