Job Title: Copado DevOps Engineer – Legacy Replacement Project
Client: City of New York – NYCERS
Job Location: New York, NY 10041 (Remote)

Note: Candidates with State, City, or Federal government experience are required.

Job Description:

The City of New York – NYCERS is seeking a Copado DevOps Engineer to support the Legacy Replacement Project. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Copado CI/CD implementation and Salesforce DevOps strategy. This position will work closely with vendor and internal teams to manage deployment processes, streamline releases, and oversee environment governance.


Specialty Areas:
  • Copado Implementation & Deployment Strategy – Full setup and management of Copado pipelines, Compliance Hub, and Data Deploy.

  • CI/CD Integration & Automation – Modernizing legacy deployment approaches and establishing streamlined DevOps workflows.

  • Salesforce Environment Management – Managing and synchronizing multiple orgs and sandboxes across teams.

  • Metadata Governance & Version Control – Using Git-based tools for Salesforce metadata versioning and tracking.

  • Production Deployment & Support – Running production releases and managing change, incident, and issue resolution processes.


Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage Copado pipelines and CI/CD processes.

  • Train and onboard developers and other roles on Copado use and best practices.

  • Transition from change set–driven deployments to fully automated Copado workflows.

  • Maintain and synchronize Salesforce environments (sandboxes, UAT, production).

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve pipeline issues and deployment failures.

  • Ensure seamless flow of metadata changes between environments.

  • Support production deployments and manage related governance and compliance processes.

  • Collaborate with vendor and internal stakeholders to support enterprise deployment strategies.
