We are currently hiring a Senior Health Economics Associate with extensive modeling experience, to work remotely in the US.

Job Title: Senior Associate, HEOR: Modelling

Location: Continental US (East Coast work hours)

We provide comprehensive drug development capabilities, including regulatory and access services, to support successful reimbursement submissions.

Job Purpose: The Senior Associate, HEOR: Modelling will support the development and adaptation of health economic models, such as cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, to understand the economic value of clients’ products and interventions. This role involves sharing knowledge with HTA-countries for successful reimbursement submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution: Provide high-quality, timely, scientific/strategic solutions to meet client needs. Conduct and analyze primary and secondary research to shape strategic recommendations. Build and check health economic models using appropriate software tools to elucidate and express the economic value of clients’ products. Systematically search for and synthesize disparate qualitative and quantitative health economic evidence and interpret meaningfully. Write, refine, review, and critique sections of reports, journal manuscripts, and other deliverables for client or external delivery.
  • Parexel-Related Responsibilities: Maintain professional conduct at all working levels within a client organization and within Parexel. Complete basic job-related responsibilities, including timesheets, expense reports, maintenance of CVs, project deliverable archiving, participation in internal initiatives/projects, or as a mentor as requested by management.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong computing skills (MS Office) including MS Excel.
  • High analytical ability.
  • A high degree of written accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and in writing, with the ability to interact with individuals from a variety of disciplines, especially in the relaying of technical information.
  • Cross-functional team player.
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm, ambition, and flexibility.
  • Fluent English.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of training and demonstrated experience in health economics, including the conceptualization, development, and adaptation of cost-effectiveness (Markov, partitioned survival, decision tree models), cost-minimization, and budget impact models.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting health economic analyses to support local Health Technology Assessment and Market Access submissions (MER, EEMA, LATAM, and AP).
  • Demonstrated experience in applying QC/QA frameworks for health economic model adaptations.
  • Experience in training local and regional market access teams on adapted health economic models.
  • Therapeutic area: oncology and vaccines experience are desirable (or one of them and willingness to learn the other one).
  • Experience with programming and software such as VBA, and R; SAS is an advantage.
  • Keen interest in medical research, provision of healthcare, and the pharmaceutical industry.

Education:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in either life science or a quantitative discipline, such as health economics, economics, mathematics, or statistics.
