Job description

Role: Shopify Virtual Assistant

Hours: 8am - 4pm Mountain Standard Time

Hourly Wage: $5 - $8 (Open to negotiation based on experience)


Lago is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and organized Shopify Virtual Assistant. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for managing our product catalogs and ensuring that all content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with our brand. You will support our marketing and sales teams by maintaining up-to-date information on products, writing compelling product descriptions, and ensuring the visual presentation of items meets our standards.


Responsibilities:

Image Tagging & Mapping:

  • Review styled product photos and manually tag visible items
  • Link tagged products to corresponding SKUs within our product catalog on Shopify

Catalog Accuracy:

  • Ensure all tagged items reflect current and accurate product listings
  • Verify SKU matches, pricing, and availability when tagging images

Data Organization:

  • Maintain a structured tagging record for internal tracking and consistency
  • Help manage a database of tagged images for use across platforms

Quality Assurance:

  • Cross-check tagged content for accuracy and completeness
  • Flag inconsistencies or missing product data to the team for resolution

Team Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with content, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on product visibility
  • Attend occasional syncs or submit updates as needed for workflow progress


Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 2+ years in content management, product catalog management, or a related field. Shopify VA experience using Lookfy is a plus
  • Skills: Proficient in using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, and catalog management software or a website
  • Writing Skills: Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using various online platforms and tools for catalog management


Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with backend CMS systems
  • Experience with visual tagging tools or similar workflows
  • Basic knowledge of inventory and digital merchandising
