Our products include Workleap, a simple employee experience platform to boost engagement, drive performance, and develop teams, and ShareGate by Workleap, a single, trusted out-of-the-box solution for fast and secure migration, adoption, and Copilot readiness—simplifying data management across Microsoft 365.

Job Description

So, what will your new role look like?

You’ll be the design lead behind one of Workleap’s most important bets: building a single, modern design system that powers every product vertical in each of our platforms, in Workleap Platform and ShareGate. You’ll lead the system’s design direction and evolution, embedded in a strong engineering team focused on UI foundations and platform scale. Together, you’ll listen to internal customers, leverage best-in-class design & UX practices, reimagine, rebuild, and scale a future-proof design system to improve how teams work and how products feel.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and evolve our shared design system — patterns, principles, components, and guidelines — across multiple products and brands;
  • Design flexible, reusable, and inclusive solutions that scale across teams, use cases, and platforms;
  • Work closely with developers to bring the system to life through tooling, documentation, theming, and collaboration;
  • Support designers across Workleap and ShareGate — helping them adopt the system, use it well, and focus on what matters most;
  • Continuously improve how we work — reducing friction, increasing speed, and scaling design quality through better systems and workflows;
  • Bring a future-ready mindset — designing patterns and frameworks that support AI-powered features, predictive UIs, and new interaction models;
  • Contribute daily to improve UX practices across teams through feedback, office hours, and other rituals.

A typical week?

  • Lead system reviews with cross-team designers;
  • Identify opportunities, clear blockers, and support team success;
  • Sketch a new pattern for the design system;
  • Pair with a developer to refine and implement it;
  • Update documentation to keep it current and clear;
  • Align on priorities with product leadership.

What does your future team look like?

You’ll be the design lead for our design system, embedded in a team of engineers dedicated to Frontend Foundations & Shared Services. You’ll work closely with product designers, content strategists, and leaders across Workleap and ShareGate.

What are the next challenges awaiting your team?

We’re rebuilding our design system to support a unified, AI-ready product platform. That means modernizing foundations, rethinking components, improving tools and workflows, and helping every product team design and build faster, without sacrificing quality.

Qualifications
  • Deep experience building and scaling design systems in multi-product environments;
  • Expertise in interaction design, accessibility, and inclusive UI patterns;
  • Strong collaboration with engineers, with a focus on systems that work in the real world;
  • Fluency in design tools like Figma, and comfort shaping documentation and tooling;
  • A passion for empowering others, simplifying complexity, and improving quality at scale;
  • Experience mentoring, leading by example, and being a strong design partner;
  • A curiosity for emerging UX patterns, especially in AI-driven and adaptive experiences;
  • Excellent communication skills — you make ideas, decisions, and systems feel clear and approachable.
