Job Summary: Reporting to the Senior Manager, HRIS, the HRIS Generalist (System Services) supports HRIS-related projects and process enhancements to improve HR operations and system functionality. This role works closely with the HR function to identify opportunities for improvement, assist in implementing system updates, and ensure the effective use of HR technology. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience with HR systems and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
HRIS Projects & Implementation:
Assists in executing HRIS project plans in response to departmental needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives
Supports various phases of HRIS projects, including planning, testing, and implementation
Investigates, identifies and analyzes key issues within HRIS projects, evaluating alternatives, benefits and costs to develop practical solutions
Helps identify and resolve project-related issues to maintain progress and achieve key milestones
Coordinates with stakeholders to ensure a smooth system updates and process changes
Assists in the adoption and training of new HRIS features and rollouts
Process Improvement & Optimization:
Works with the HR team to identify opportunities for process improvement such as implementing the Service Delivery Module in Dayforce
Applies innovative thinking when developing effective solutions and managing related risks
Supports efforts to analyze HRIS and HR process inefficiencies, providing recommendations for enhancements
Assists in evaluating alternatives, benefits, and costs to help develop practical solutions
Documents and implements best practices to improve HR technology operations
Stakeholder Collaboration & Decision Support:
Collaborates with HR and other business units to gather requirements for HRIS improvements
Assists in facilitating decision-making by ensuring the right stakeholders are involved within established timeframes
Communicates project updates and system changes to relevant teams, ensuring alignment and adoption of new processes
System Enhancements & Support:
Supports the configuration, testing, and deployment of system updates and enhancements
Creates HRIS-related documentation including user guides and process workflows
Assists in the adoption and training of new HRIS features to improve user experience
Provides recommendations on HR technology solutions to meet evolving business needs
Qualifications & Skills:
An ideal candidate should have 2 to 5 years of experience
Post secondary education in HR, Information System, or related functions or relevant experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess issues and develop solutions
Experience managing HRIS-related projects, including planning, execution, and risk management
Ability to balance creativity with practical implementation while managing risks
Excellent stakeholder management and decision facilitation skills
Knowledge of HR systems, processes, and best practices (Dayforce preferred)
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
