The company works with leading equipment manufacturers and government bodies across the aviation, defense, and space industries. Slater Consult is supporting Gatehouse Satcom in hiring a Commercial Director based in France to drive strategic sales and account growth as part of the company’s European expansion.

Your Mission
As Commercial Director, you will be responsible for growing Gatehouse Satcom’s presence in France and key parts of Europe. Your focus will be on high-value client acquisition, expansion of existing accounts, and building long-term strategic partnerships—especially with B2B and B2G customers in defense, aerospace, and telecommunications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all commercial activities across France and neighboring European markets.
  • Develop and execute regional growth strategies in alignment with company objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders in government and enterprise sectors.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle of complex software and system solutions with long decision cycles.
  • Represent Gatehouse Satcom at key French and European industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Partner with internal teams (Product, Marketing, and Engineering) to tailor solutions and campaigns that meet regional market demands.
  • Provide local market insights to help shape product positioning and go-to-market approaches.

Your Background
You are a commercial leader with deep domain knowledge, a strong network in French aerospace and defense, and the ability to navigate complex B2G sales processes.

You bring:

  • 10+ years in senior B2B/B2G commercial or business development roles.
  • Proven success in technical software sales and government procurement.
  • Expertise in satcom, defense, aerospace, or adjacent sectors.
  • Fluent French and English (both written and spoken); other European languages are a plus.
  • Experience negotiating large contracts and working with international teams.
  • A strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability.
  • Strong network within France's satcom, defense, aerospace, and public sector ecosystems.
